Trend Patrol: Jackets

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Millersville chapter.

It’s officially that awkward time of year where the weather is as unpredictable and moody as Janelle from Teen Mom. One day it’s sunny, the next day rainy, and maybe even some snow and wind. But one piece of clothing can be worn in any weather situation, and that’s a jacket. It can be worn with a fun top, taken off, or thrown over one shoulder (just don’t tie it around your waist). Here’s three looks that will brighten up your day no matter what.

Luxe and Colorful The stripy jacket has a universally flattering cut and looks great paired with ruby-colored denim. Keep the look simple with nude heels (these go with everything!) and a cute charm bracelet.

I Love Rock n’ Roll (but I also Love Pink!) You don’t have to give up all of your girly tendencies to be a little dangerous for the day. Pair this adorably badass black jacket with pink piping with black skinny jeans and booties for a sleek look. Then add sugary accessories, like a studded pink bow bracelet and sunglasses (with a little polka dot bow of their own!)

Downtown Dahhling Bring out your vintage chic side with this comfy look. This striped jacket is perfect for a spring day or you can layer it with a turtleneck if it’s cold outside. Faded skinny jeans, aviators, and cute red platforms are great for a day of shopping and cocktails with the girls.
