Name: Riley Newman

Hometown: Ithaca, NY

Year: Senior

Major: English, minoring in Anthropology

Hobbies: getting people drunk, eating bacon, and enjoying a great beer and conversation over dinner with my awesome friends

Three words to describe yourself: weird, awkward, and totally awesome

Favorite downtown spot: TOM AND MARTY’S DUUHHHHHH!!!

Favorite drink: Kanye West Kandy, because I created it obviously, come try it!

Favorite movie: Forrest Gump

Fashion trend you hate: bell bottom jeans

What you look for in a partner: smart, athletic, and skinny (at least 10 pounds lighter than me) ;)

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: looking the same as I do today, pretending I’m still on campus, being a cutie. ?

If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why? I don’t believe in comic book characters or superheroes in the “Batman” sense, the real super heroes are the everyday people. If I had to choose, that everyday superhero would definitely be Dwight Schrute.

If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would be the first thing you would do? Pretend to move permanently out of the country, tell my parents and friends I got in trouble with the law, that way they’d think I was alive and well, just chillin’ in Cuba with Tupac.

If you could choose anyone from the past or present to have dinner with who would it be and why? Right now, Casey Quaglia, I miss him terribly.

Raven Rivera is a senior at Binghamton University majoring in English and Rhetoric with a minor in Theatre. After living on Long Island all her life, she made the move to upstate NY and is enjoying the snowy weather. At Binghamton, Raven is the president and editor-in-chief of the newly SA-chartered publication, Her Campus Binghamton. In her spare time she enjoys watching entirely too much television, romantic comedies and Disney movies, and preparing for her American Idol auditions one day. She is currently an editorial intern for iaam.com and in the future, hopes to move to NYC and be a head writer/executive producer of an awesome television show on ABC, NBC, FOX, or Bravo (really, any will do).
