Whether you’re not sure where to go with your guy tonight, have decided to spend Valentine’s day with the girls, or have make-up date plans for the weekend – NYC always has a ton of surprises to offer. Here are 10 super fun locations for an evening full of love! The train station is just down  South Orange Ave., so why not?

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria
Want a romantic night out with your guy (or girl) that will leave some money for flowers?  Located under the Brooklyn Bridge you’ll find Grimaldi’s Pizzeria –the perfect mix of casual and romantic.  You can get pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil starting at $12.  From Penn Station, it’s a straight shot on the subway into Brooklyn and then a short walk to the intimate setting of Grimaldi’s.  From there, take a stroll under the Brooklyn Bridge – you’ll be less than a block from the East River and a perfect view of the Manhatten skyline.

Ramen Sanshiro
This one is for food lovers. Sushi is always romantic, but did you ever think that a spin on classic college ramen could be just as cute? Called “one of New York’s best kept secrets,” at 11 PM, Midtown sushi restaurant SEO changes into a ramen parlor called Ramen Sanshiro. There are about ten seats at the bar plus a few at the tables, and they serve the ramen until it runs out around 2 AM. You can’t order the ramen during the day or the sushi late at night, they are totally different restaurants. Cash only, if you’re daring to try!

Alice’s Tea Cup
A perfect destination for brunch with your best friends, Alice’s Tea Cup serves deliciously fresh scones (no really, they are amazing), light sandwiches, and about a million different teas.  The walls are filled with doodles and each china table setting is unique – it feels as though you’ve fallen through the rabbit hole and landed in an Upper East Side version of Wonderland.  The prices are reasonable and the intimate atmosphere is definitely worth the wait.

The Met (or any museum for that matter)
For a more interactive night out, get lost in one of New York’s many fabulous museums.  The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a little something for everyone – and any piece will be a great conversation starter whether you’re on a first date or looking to spark a well established relationship. NYC offers so many museums for different interests, take advantage and switch up your typical dinner routine (but keep in mind the MoMA is closed on Tuesdays!).

Frames
So you haven’t been bowling since you were 14. Where’s the fun in that? Bring the most fun to a group trip or one-on-one date at this bowling alley with a ridiculously fun club, grown-up vibe to it. Show off your dance moves if your bowling game is lacking! A little competition is great for any playful couple.

Times Square
If you’re into the whole “Valentine’s” theme, check out Times Square for some free, quality cheesiness.  You’ll find people renewing their vows, sipping on free hot chocolate, and admiring heart sculptures in the heart of Manhattan.  Grab a snack from a street vendor and share the love.

Central Park
For a fairytale-style date night, head to Central Park for an infamous carriage ride.  Grab hot chocolate beforehand and snuggle up under the stars.  Rates vary but you can expect about a $30 charge for a 30 minute ride.  The old-school horses provide an air of chivalry and romance that can’t be beaten on Valentine’s Day.

Washington Square Park
Just like Central Park, you can take a romantic stroll or go to the dog run and swoon over the cute puppies! :)

Chocolate by the Bald Man Max Brenner or Dylan’s Candy Bar
Let’s hope your sweetie has a sweet tooth for this one! Valentine’s Day is defined by chocolate and this place completely embodies sweetness, no matter which you choose. The candy is colorful, fun, tempting and endless. You’ll go into a chocolate coma! With wonderfully creative boxes and a plethora of  options, these are the perfect places for an artsy, thoughtful upgrade on chocolate.
