How did you get the name ‘Bounce’?
I am a part of a dance crew ASDS or All Star Dope Squad, and because of my jerky movements during hip-hop and isolations, they call me bounce because I’m always “Bucking.”

What is your year and major here at Oklahoma State?
I am a freshman studying athletic training.

What made you want to study that?
I want to be a physical therapist for dancers.

What brought you to Stillwater?
I originally planned on going to Virginia Common Wealth University and major in dance, but after both of my parents lost their jobs, I decided to stay closer to home and my brother choose to go to University of Missouri.

How did you start dancing?
I moved to Dallas when I was 4 years old and the school I attended had a dance teacher come in and teach all the kids.  After my first day I joined a studio the next day and fell in love with it.  I started competing at the age of 5 and spent 11 years doing that.  I competed both with a group and solo.

How long have you been dancing?
13 years

Who have you danced with?
Alvin Ailey Dance theater summer program, Debbie Allen Dance Academy/Summer Intensive, Joffrey Ballet

Who has been your greatest influence?
Madame Dellas, she is my ballet instructor from the Debbie Allen summer intensive program.  She is like a mother to me.  She has taught me to strive toward all my goals no matter what roadblock come my way.  The only person who can keep me from reaching my goals is myself.  She taught me I am my own competition.

Who is your biggest supporter?
My brother

Where do you dance?
Not at a studio but I do stuff at the school like choreography for the Miss Black OSU pageant and dancing for the NAACP show. I have gone to a master class at the encore dance studio here in Stillwater.

What do you hope to do in the future that involves dance?
I actually plan on attending a school of arts next year.  Hopefully the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for a BFA dance theatre major.  I want to do tours, concerts and possibly join a company.  Once I have to stop dance I want to use my degree in physical therapy.
