Vote for a White House College Campus Champion of Change

The finalists of President Obama’s White House College Champions of Change contest have been chosen! The 15 finalists submitted three essay questions and audio visual explanations of projects they had created so solve a problem on their campus or in their local communities. Projects include the Full Circle Food Pantry, started by Julia Lyon from the University of Arkansas and a program that turns unused meal plan swipes into food for the homeless, created by Thach Tak Nguygen at UCLA.

Although the finalists have been selected, the power to choose the winner is now in your hands!

How do you cast your vote? Create an account on CampusChallenge.com by March 3rd (you can speed up the process by linking to your Facebook or Google account) and use your three votes to select the college student you think best embodies the President’s goal to “win the future.” The students with the top five votes will be invited to a White House event, will be featured on mtvU and MTVAct and have the chance to to host an episode of one of mtvU’s shows, “The Dean’s List.”

You can support your top pick by using the hashtag #WHCampusChallenge and getting your friends involved. The votes will be tracked in real time so you’ll always know where your favorite finalist stands and how much social media support they’ll need from you and your friends. You can find a complete list of the finalists here
