Monday Music Notes: New Music!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Hey HCBU ladies! We’re at the home stretch! T-minus 5 days until SB! Here’s some new albums and songs to get you through the week:

Estelle- All of Me

This album contains some hard-hitting hip-hop tracks, which contrast Estelle’s funky disco style that we’re used to hearing in her popular tracks such as “American Boy” and “Fall In Love.” However, All Of Me still exhibits soulful and sunny R&B songs, so fans can experience different sides of Estelle’s musical abilities. I particularly like “Do My Thing,” which features Janelle Monae.

WZRD- WZRD

Kid Cudi and his producer, Dot Da Genius team up to form WZRD in this self-titled album. No rapping is involved in this edgy rock style of hip-hop music- Kid Cudi instead sings and plays the guitar on each track. Listeners who enjoyed Kid Cudi’s last album, Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, will most likely enjoy WZRD as well.

Chiddy Bang- Breakfast

Chiddy Bang’s clever lyrics and catchy beats make this album super fun to listen to- every track will make you tap your foot along to the rhythm. The duo creates a successful mix of hip-hop and electronic music in Breakfast.

New Songs:

  5. Estelle (ft. Chris Brown & Trey Songz)- “International (Serious)”
