We all know her.
She’s that one girl who you have to be nice to but wish you did not have to be. We have all experienced the awkward, “Hey, how are you?”
But do we really mean it? Of course not.
Why is it that in Girl World there are situations in which you have to be fake?
Well, through personal experience and many situations I have seen unfold, sometimes being blatantly rude to a person can have consequences.
Why do we find it necessary to be fake to that certain someone? Is it the fear of letting people know we don’t like them for certain reasons?
The truth is many girls don’t have it in them to be rude to someone’s face.
Though I agree that there are situations in which being rude is uncalled for, we still should not let this fakeness put a damper on our moral character. I think that if that person has done something hurtful towards you, or even takes your kindness for granted, they are not worth either your friendship or good-willed nature to say “hi.”
What you should do is just politely walk away or maybe even consider distancing yourself from the people that associate themselves with the “OMG…she’s here” girl.
Also, if your friends know that you don’t like this person, then why try and be nice? I have seen people lose friendships because they could not handle how fake their friend would act around other people she clearly did not like.
You are better than that and definitely do not need to surround yourself with people like who bring you down or force you to be someone you’re not. All of that just creates negative energy, and we want to surround ourselves with people who make our lives better, not more complicated.
