Everyone in Nashville knows about the Wildhorse Saloon, but have you been there yet? I recently explored this Nashville treasure to see what it was all about. For those of you who don’t know, Wildhorse is smack dab in the middle of downtown Nashville. It offers yummy food and round-the-clock line dancing lessons! How much more country can you get?
I had a great experience while I was there. I was part of a group, so our food was a set buffet, but it was delicious! Pulled pork BBQ, roasted corn, and fruit cobbler made up my yummy dinner. While I walked around the restaurant, all the plates I saw made me want to eat even more!
After chowing down, I headed to the main level to put my cowboy boots to good use. There are dance instructors at the front and back of the dance floor to help everybody learn the moves to each song. Every so often the music stops and a dance instructor gets up on the stage to teach the official dance moves in slow motion so that everyone can catch up. It was a blast learning how to do the sunny-side up line dance to some of my favorite Josh Turner songs.
There was a great live musician who performed the whole night and added to the country ambiance. Plus, the live music made my dance skills seem even more impressive! I boot-scoot and boogied the entire night with about 50 other people on the dance floor. Â
If dancing isn’t your thing, don’t worry! On the second floor, you have a great view of all the people trying to line dance. Plus, there is also a full bar servicing the foosball, shuffleboard, and pool tables. No matter what, you’ll have fun at this place.
The Wildhorse Saloon was a great place to get the feel of the country vibe. It was easy to learn the dance moves with the instructors, and the people with two left feet still had fun upstairs. The restaurant was friendly to all ages. I saw families with young children, to 20 year olds on a date, to grandparents experiencing Nashville the right way. Come spend a night at the Wildhorse Saloon and you won’t regret it!
