The Princeton Varsity Cardigan from School House is a must-have for every Princeton collegiette. This adorable lightweight sweater is perfect for wearing around campus and showing your Tiger pride in a lowkey, yet preppy way. The boyfriend style cardigan features shiny gold metal buttons and a very nice “P” patch on the front left pocket. While viewing this item online on the School House website, I feared that the buttons would be made of gold covered plastic, which always makes an item look cheap and tacky, but these buttons are of high quality, and actually make the sweater look more expensive. The sweater is reasonably priced at $35, which is probably cheap than what a similar sweater would cost at the University Store. The only downside to this cardigan is that it is lightweight, so it doesn’t make for a great winter layering piece. But come springtime, this varsity cardigan will be the ideal item to dress up a weekend jeans and t-shirt studying outfit or to wear over a cute sundress. Since this sweater has such a timeless style and is not in an obnoxious orange, you can continue to wear it well past graduation.
