Interested in going into publishing, journalism, the magazine world, or really any career that involves writing?
  Her Campus is great preparation!  Her Campus has connections to Glamour, the Huffington Post, and Seventeen, just to name a few, and it’s getting bigger all the time.  Write for Her Campus Amherst, and you’ll build up a great portfolio when you’re looking to apply to publishing jobs!
 
 
Write about what you want to write about!  We’re open to everything, whether it’s on campus news, off campus news, beauty tips, fitness tips, fashion, food, travel, the environment, love advice, Campus Cuties, life advice: whatever it is that you’re dying to write!  I promise you writing a review of that great new coffee place you found in Northampton is a lot more fun than working on your history paper, and it may even be more applicable to your future career!

Evelyn is the Editor-in-Chief of the Amherst branch of Her Campus. She was a features intern at Seventeen Magazine during the summer of 2011 and a features intern at Glamour Magazine during the summer of 2013. She is a French and English major in the class of 2014 at Amherst College. She is also on Amherst's varsity squash team. She is an aspiring travel writer/novelist, and loves running, ice cream, and Jane Austen.
