Do you have any tattoos or piercings? What do they mean?
I have a small tattoo behind my left ear, it’s 9 3/4 encircled in a black ring. It’s the platform Harry and his friends use to get to Hogwarts, and kind of also the platform I used to get away from my life during high school when things were difficult. The books gave me, and millions of other people, hope for a magical somewhere. I have 8 piercings, and all they mean is that it’s gonna be hard to get a job.
You have a very unique style, how would you describe your fashion inspirations and decisions?
I like to describe my style as 1 part design executive, 3 parts Salvation Army. Most of the things I wear I make myself, so it’s hard to really give it a category. But I’m always on lookbook, so I get my fashion inspiration from there.
You currently run your own blog where you post your photography, when did you start your blog and what made you decide to create it?
I started my blog back in 2009, but not really for my photography. I lived in the middle of nowhere, and the internet was really my only connection to the outside world. My blog became a way for me to interact with people of similar interests and age.
When did you first start photography?
I bought my DSLR back in 2009, when my first job finally allowed me to save up enough. But I didn’t really see it as a viable career until this year when all of a sudden my interest and passion with creating an image flared up.
Do you have any major inspirations? Who/ what are they?
I wish I could be a person who had names off the top of their head, but to be honest I’d have to google some. Most of my interests stem from my love of creating a character and a story, all while focusing on the color palette and dimensions of scene. But my friends definitely influence my technique sometimes, they’re all doing great things with their photography and I’d like to catch up someday soon.
How would you describe your photography style?
All over the place.
How would you describe your editing style?
Honest. I don’t like to manipulate unnecessary details in a photo, because it has to maintain some reality.
What type of camera(s) do you shoot with?
Well, previously a Nikon D40 but it recently died. RIP. So for now I’m shooting film with a Canon Rebel G.
What are your hobbies?
Trying out new hobbies, reading, sports, cuddling, watching moves.
Where do you see yourself after graduation?
Probably in a car, driving away from the ceremony.
