Why are you a psych major?
It’s just too interesting for me to not study. Everything about the brain is fascinating to me, from how we create a fluid and cohesive perception of the world to how language is formed. Plus being a psych major makes me sound smarter than I am.

What do you look for in a girl?
Someone with an awesome personality and isn’t afraid to be goofy. I don’t know why but I kind of have a thing for cute awkward girls.

What was the most romantic thing you did for a girl?
One time I went over to my girlfriend’s house before she woke up and made her favorite breakfast (french toast, eggs, and bacon) for her and served her breakfast in bed on our anniversary. Then I played guitar for her while she ate. I think I burned the bacon a little bit but she didn’t seem to mind.

What do you think is the best way to meet new people on campus?
Going to events is a great way to meet people, whether it’s on campus or off. You meet so many people by putting yourself out there. Working as a Shipstad Hall Receptionist has also helped me meet a lot of really awesome people, so if you can get a social job that’s great too.
If you could describe yourself in five words, what would they be?
Quirky, understanding, loyal, polite, and bashful.
With your beard and impeccable skill with the guitar, how do you fight the ladies off?
Honestly I think my smile intimidates them because it hasn’t really been a problem. At least I hope it’s intimidation and not that I smell bad or something.
Any words for those interested ladies out there?
Just be yourself and put yourself out there! Believe it or not but lots of guys like when girls initiate flirting. We like feeling wanted too ladies!
