What do you love about Ole women? “The thing I love about Olaf women is that they are not afraid to show their weird sides. I find it is often the most endearing part of anyone.”

Hobbies? “I spend a good deal of time climbing. I got really into it over the summer when I worked at a YMCA camp, and got to take kids on trips to Taylors Falls….When I’m in my dorm and looking for a way to procrastinate, Ill bum around my acoustic guitar. Its something I just do for myself, I have never performed or been in a band. If the weather is nice out I’ll go play some disc golf our and volleyball with friends. If weather is bad, I also dabble in website design.”

Activities you are involved in? “I play on St. Olaf’s Ultimate Frisbee Team. I also am on the After Dark Committee where we organize all sorts of fun events, most of which usually involve black lights. Otherwise you might see me whipping up pizzas and shakes at the Pause.”

What is the most romantic thing you have done for a girl? “My girlfriend was going away for 5 months, so I got a small photo-book and filled it with pictures and notes (post-secret-style) with things that I loved about her and would miss when she was gone. I gave wrapped it up and gave it to her before she left, and told her she couldn’t open it until she arrived. It went over very well!”

What is your favorite place to study? “I need to be by windows when I study, so my favorite place is fourth floor of Regents. It has tons of natural sunlight and the roof makes a great place to go for a study break.”

Favorite food? “Indian food! I got to spend my interim in India. Every meal was basically an all you can eat bonanza of the best Indian food I have ever had. I was in heaven. My favorite dessert is definitely gulab jamun. They are balls of dough that are soaked in a kind of sugar water. At one restaurant in New Delhi, I ate no less than 10 of them. BEST. MEALS. EVER. I got sick one the last day in India. The only thing I was worried about was if it would kill my appetite for delectable Indian food. I can happily report it has done no such thing”

Favorite movie? “The Sandlot. I grew up with a really tight group of neighborhood friends. This movie always reminds me of our summertime antics.”

Any secret or hidden talents? “The LIMBO. I discovered it two years ago. I was at a party with some high school friends when someone grabbed a pool-cue and people started limboing. I decided to try my hand at it. I quick discovered I had a gift. I outlasted all of the guys and it got down me and two girls who were about a foot shorter than I am (I’m 6’2”); One of them was a gymnast and the other a cheerleader. Long, dramatic story short, I shocked everyone and blew them out of the water. I’ve made a few bucks off my friends with it.”

Finish this sentence: A girl looks her best when… “She does something completely absurd and then laughs uncontrollably at herself. Its really cool (and attractive) when a girl can laugh at herself, it tells me a lot about their personality.”

Describe yourself in one word. “Sociable.”

What are you most excited about right now in your life? “I’m really excited about this summer. I am going to be doing a CURI research project with Professor Jim Farrell on environmental sustainability education for the dorms next year. I will be living in the Leaders for Social Change House with some really cool people.”

What is your ideal date? “My ideal date would to make some food together, which is always more fun than just going out to eat, and take it to a lake. Nothing is better than spending the night just sitting by the lake shooting the breeze into the night.”

What he wants Ole women to know: “Olaf women are by far the coolest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. All of you are incredibly intelligent, funny and unique. Thanks for making Olaf awesome.”

Best pick up line? “I must be an avox, or you just left me speechless. (Hunger Games reference)”

If you were a superhero, what would your superhero name and power be? “My superhero name would be The Great Hall Walker, and I’d be immune to those awkward situations in hallways where you try to walk around someone and they move in the same direction.”
