There are plenty of celebrities I find gorgeous and even more whose closets I wish I could raid. Blake Lively is one actress that comes to mind immediately. But when I was asked to think about someone I actually turn to for beauty and style inspiration, I had to go to with Rachel Bilson. Sorry Blake, but I can’t afford your couture gowns and red-soled shoes. Do you ever dress down?! Rachel Bilson on the other hand dresses fashion forward, but is also caught dressing in day-to-day attainable styles.
The Hart of Dixie actress will sometimes dress just like a collegiette. I love how she dressed up her jean shorts for a night out with these heels, sleek black blazer and simple white tee. While I’m sure her pieces were far more expensive than mine, the look was something I could recreate, which makes her a collegiette style icon.
At the same time, the former O.C. star certainly knows how to get glammed up. And while I am majorly lusting for her gowns, they are out of my price range, so I focus mostly on her beauty at moments like this. I love how dewy her cheeks look, and how angelic her whole face looks with this makeup on. She looks clean and pretty. I can’t think of anytime I’ve ever looked at a photo of Rachel and thought ‘wow her makeup is all wrong.’
I love Rachel’s outfit, hair and makeup here. I could totally see myself rocking those booties — and what collegiette doesn’t have a drawer full of leggings and v-necks? Her makeup looks completely do-able at home — a bit of blush, some lipgloss, eyeliner and mascara. Simple but sensational! Now if only I could pull off her enviable ombre hair and soft waves!
