Jeans come in different sizes, textures, patterns, and most importantly colors. The trend of colored jeans has certainly been around for a while but surprisingly it is still going strong. Along with some of the spring trends, bright colors are certainly coming back in full force. So let’s spruce up that wardrobe of yours and do a little revamping by incorporating colored jeans!
I’ll admit when I saw the plethora of different colors in pants I was horrified. I couldn’t betray my black skinny jeans or dark washed jeans because they were my go to for everything! Plus the colors were quite intimidating as I didn’t know how to style them. But since this trend has been around for some time I’ve been able to gain a bit of knowledge as to how to style them; bold colors and all!
Where to buy them?
This trend is taking its form in shorts since the summer is coming up so it may be a bit harder to find the jeans. There are lots of go to stores that are universal in the sense that it caters to a lot of peoples’ style. For example, if you go out and notice another girl’s cute top and you ask her where she got it from; 9 times out of 10 she’s going to say Forever 21. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that it just shows how versatile that store is and the wide variety that they have there. So before you go on an intensive hunt for jeans of another color try Forever 21! Another store to check out is Urban Outfitters; I’m obsessed with this store because of the huge selection of clothes. The colored jeans at Urban Outfitters are not your normal colors as they are a bit more unique and harder to find. Other places to look would be, this is all dependent upon your area, A’Gaci, American Apparel, Hot Topic, JcPenny’s, Pacsun, and OldNavy. Also be wary of your budget and where you feel like you would get more bang for your buck.
How to wear them.
This is a bit harder because it is more your imagination, but to play it on the safe side the best way to go with colored jeans are basics. I feel as though I saw this way too much but then again not enough because basic shirts are so vital to a wardrobe. On a casual day going out to do errands you can pick up a crisp white v-neck, turquoise colored jeans, with gold gladiators with your favorite necklace, a ring or two and you’re done. It’s absolutely perfect and you didn’t even try! These jeans don’t have to be a hassle when styling them, or that’s just me, but they can add that extra personality to your outfit as opposed to a regular pair of blue jeans. To dress up these jeans can be just as easy! Also remember just remember colors can always mix together the key is making sure they complement each other and don’t clash. Many girls can fall victim to this and look like a mess but trust your better judgment because after all you know what you like and you’re the one who’s going to be wearing it.
Do what feels right and what looks good for you! I’d really advise every girl to go out and buy at least one pair of colored jeans because they truly do give that extra pop to your outfit. Who wouldn’t want that?
