“You wouldn’t buy a skirt without asking your friends first if it looks good on you,” says Gretchen Weiners from Mean Girls. Even though she was a Plastic, she may have been on to something. We all know how important our friend’s opinions are to us. That’s why Bing has redesigned search to connect your social media portals with search results. On the sidebar, you can view friends who have liked or commented on your search queries, ask them questions, and even get the latest updates on places they’ve been with Bing’s newsfeed. In this case, living vicariously is a good thing.
Snapshot, another new feature, condenses useful information into one search result. You can view maps, read reviews and compare prices all without opening a billion different tabs to do so. Now that’s what I call an easy kill.
To celebrate, Bing and Her Campus will host 18+ club events in our coolest cities, including LA on Thursday, May 31.
