NU Sidewalk Catwalk | Sept. 15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.

Welcome back to school!

One problem you might be encountering though-between the heat, rain and chilly Boston wind, it’s hard to transform our summer wardrobe to fall fashion. Picking out an outfit that challenges the inconsistent New England weather doesn’t have to turn into mission impossible.

Kelsey Goodman, a senior at Northeastern in the nursing program, has figured it out. This stylish collegiate was dressed appropriately for the weather wearing a dress that reminds us that it’s still summer, but opted for longer sleeves as a nod to the upcoming season. Now that September has hit, most of us may think dresses are out of the question, but don’t be afraid to keep wearing dresses, just ones that have more of a fall feel to them! When the weather becomes too cold, try pairing them with tights and a cute cardigan and belt.
Her cowboy boots (straight from Nashville!) are not only stylish, but are a trendy alternative to the typical riding boots or Uggs.

This stylish collegiate describes her usual style as casual and comfortable and usually can be found wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Here is her look, head-to-toe: dress – Urban Outfitters, $30; boots – $60 (Similar boots at Target for only $27.99!)
