She’s beauty and she’s grace, she’s Miss…Farmington! And she’s also a student at the U! Victoria Pozzuoli is a sophomore from Farmington majoring in health promotion and education with minors in modern dance and biology. Dance is one of her greatest passion, and it has helped her get through high school and college and build her dreams for the future.
Pozzuoli has been dancing for about 18 years. She started in Mommy and Me classes before she was a toddler and has been dancing ever since. Through dance, Pozzuoli has come into leadership positions and had experiences she’ll never forget. She was captain of her drill team in high school where she had the opportunity to travel to New York City and Staten Island.
Since her sophomore year in high school Pozzuoli has taught dance classes. She currently teaches ages four to 16. With so many students, “it’s a new adventure every class,” she said. “I love being able to share my passion with my students and watch them grow over time. It is such a fulfilling job!”
Her inspiration for dance has come from her parents’ support throughout her childhood and adolescence. She credits her success, confidence and happiness today to her mom and dad who helped her get to the U and pursue her passions in dance. Her inspiration to dance comes from music and movement. “Dance is always an adventure for me! It is something different every time I turn on a song.”
While Pozzuoli is always comfortable on the dance floor, she has many other loves as well! Beyond her work as Miss Farmington (on her way to Miss Utah!), she is a LEAP Peer Advisor, the secretary for the Alpha Phi sisters and passionate about service projects. Her latest work has been with the American Cancer Society. We love to see smart women helping out and standing out, just like her!
