Coming Out On Top: Nordstrom Launches Topshop Brand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IU chapter.

After much talk about the partnership between Nordstrom and runway-inspired British retailer “Topshop,” Nordstrom launched the anticipated line about a week ago. Prior to this, there just three US stores in New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas. The company hopes to attract a younger, more trend focused customer. Women’s Wear Daily has called the partnership a “dramatic merchandising shift [for the department store] toward younger, edgier product.” The line includes cozy winter sweaters, flirty holiday dresses, and stylish accessories and shoes from around $15-$400. Unfortunately, the Topshop department was only launched in 14 stores nationwide, and the Fashion Mall location is not one of them. However, don’t put that credit card away yet because you can shop the collection online, and there’s always free shipping and returns! We tell you our favorite picks for your IU lifestyle:

This effortlessly cool biker jacket, at just $130, is a sure steal. Throw it on to go out to dinner with friends or add some warmth when you go out on those chilly fall nights.

This ‘tile’ sweater dress, for $90, is great for date parties paired with a set of fabulous heels. Yet, it’s conservative enough that you can wear it to an important networking event as well. For a more casual look, go for your favorite black leather boots and tights. Also available in petite!

This “chain swede bag,” also available in black, is only $64. You can get so much use out of it, as a book bag, a carryon for flying, and of course an everyday bag when out and about with friends.

While not as versatile as our previous picks, this $64 “sequin peplum top” is a great statement piece. Wear it to your birthday party with black skinny jeans or, with a price this good, buy now and save for New Years!
