Whether or not ex-lovers Chris Brown and Rihanna have rekindled their flame remains uncertain (although eyewitness reports make things pretty clear), but one thing has been confirmed.
Chris Brown is no longer dating Karrueche Tran.
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career,” Brown told HollywoodLife.com. (But wait, there’s more!) “I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
Ever since Brown’s split, he has been spotted out and about in New York City the last three consecutive nights with the female companion, Rihanna. The Huffington Post reports that they were caught showing some PDA at nightclub Griffin on Monday, Oct. 1. On the following night, they were seen at 1Oak. Last night, Oct. 3, they left the Gansevoort Hotel separately, but mere minutes apart and showed up at the Barclay’s Center for Jay-Z’s concert.
While at the concert, “Brown put his arm around his ex and cozied up to her throughout the night,” wrote The Huffington Post.
While known encounters of other nights are simply by word of mouth, Elliott Wilson, a music industry journalist, gave the public a bit more attendance. He was also in attendance of the Jay-Z concert and made his shock clear in a tweet saying, “Me thinks Rihanna just entered the VIP with Chris Brown. Wow.”
He later posted a photo on Instagram of Brown with his arm around Rihanna as well.
Following the concert, Rihanna and Brown took to Twitter themselves. Rihanna tweeted, “Tough times don’t list…. But tough people do!!!” while Brown wrote, “Both r Free from it all!”
From Wilson’s photographic evidence to the musicians’ respective tweets, we don’t need much else to confirm what we’re all already thinking.
