  Yahoo’s newly appointed CEO, Marissa Mayer gave birth September 30th to a beautiful baby boy.  However, a few short days after Mayer gave bith, her cover of Fortune Magazine came out, with a very slender looking Mayer.  Controversy grew fast, as the first woman CEO was pregnant when Yahoo announced her new role in the company this past late July, yet 3 days after she gave birth the cover photo looked like an older picture of Mayer.
  Many woman look up to Mayer, becoming the head of a Fortune 500 company, while pregnant! It’s empowering to all of us out there.  The reports of Mayer going back to work only 2 days after giving birth covered headlines and also the fact that her and her husband still have yet to pick a name for their new born baby boy.  Many are taking this as an ignorant act of a successful CEO, putting work before her new born. While others are inspired that Mayer became CEO of Yahoo during the 9 month term she was carrying her son!
  Over here at HC Bryant we deeply admire Marissa Mayer.  It is not everyday a pregnant women is granted the role of CEO of a Fortune 500 company.  We are inspired by her dedication to her job and her success and find it liberating that she is so committed to her career. Â
