What made you come to USF? “It was far enough from home that I could be independent, but close enough so I can drive home every once in a while.”
Where do you live? “I live in Miami.”
What do you do on your free time? “I sing. A lot. Everyday. It is my life. I write songs too.”
What inspires you? “Everything really. Mostly situations that happen to me or situations that I witness.”
Do you write a lot of love songs? “Not really.”
What got you into singing? “I don’t really remember! It was so long ago.”
How long have you been singing? Do you perform a lot? “I have been singing since I was 9 years old. I used to be REALLY shy when I was younger, so I used to avoid performances, but now I will sing any chance I get! I love it so much.”
What kind of music do you enjoy singing most? “Well, I used to train as a classical singer (soprano). But I love to sing everything…”
What is your greatest ambition? “I have had the same ambition since I was a kid… and I don’t mean to blab about singing so much, but I really want to succeed in the music industry as a singer.”
What are your Pet Peeves? “I hate being told what to do. It really bothers me.”
What is your favorite TV Show? “I love Dexter and Pretty Little Liars.”
What did you do over the summer? “I traveled a lot. I went really wanted to just escape for a while, so I just left.”
What was your favorite place that you visited? “I spent a lot of time in the Amalfi Coast and Monte Carlo. I loved them both.”
Tell me about your family. Do you have any siblings? “Yes, I have a sister named Daniella. She is also one of my best friends (and I miss her so much!).”
Do you have and favorite movies? “I love Tim Burton movies! Especially The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
What is your favorite band? “Aerosmith! I also have a favorite song: Jaded. I never get tired of it.”
Any other favorite artists? “Yes, of course! I really enjoy listening to Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Within Temptation, La Quinta Estacion, Coldplay, Marina and the Diamonds…”
What is your favorite book? “Siddharta by Herman Hesse.”
What is your favorite color? “Royal blue.”
What is the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard? “The worst one I’ve ever heard was, ‘I am harder than a math exam.’ I didn’t even know how to react. I really hope he was kidding.”
If you could be any Disney Princess who would you be? “Belle from Beauty and the Beast.”
What is your favorite food? “I love Spanish food! But I also really love French fries, too!”
Any random facts about you? “Spanish is my first language and I am of Cuban and Spanish descent.”
