Leaves changing colors, pumpkin spice lattes, and the crisp air all tell us one thing – it’s fall. With the change of seasons comes a need for boots, scarves, coats, and one more thing – new music. The music we listen to shapes our attitudes and our days, so get in the fall mood by switching up your playlists and get some new songs from these music sites. Ranging from indie and folk to rock and jazz, each of these sites has a little bit of something for every music lover.

  1. She’s A Jar

This blog is run by 4th year, Amy Curtis, and I admittedly have made the past three of my playlists based off of the songs from this site. Each day the blog features a stunning photo, a word, and a song to get your day going. The meticulous selection of songs throughout the site doesn’t dissapoint – they are all different, yet they all complement one another. Each song contributes to an overall thought-provoking, unforgettable music experience. Listen and discover for yourself.

       2.   NPR Music

Get your music fix by visiting the music section of National Public Radio. It offers a range of options including interviews, a program called First Listen that allows you to listen to artists albums before the release date, videos, free live stream of their radio music programs, and more. Check it out here.

       3.  The Music Ninja

The indie, folk, rock-based tracks chosen for this blog make the perfect addition to any fall playlist. The daily blog posts usually focus on an artist, an album, and a song or two chosen for the site. See for yourself here.

      4.   8 tracks

This site allows anyone to create playlists, and anyone can listen for free. The playlists that cover a varity of genres, and my favorite fall playlists on 8tracks include: Mellifluous, I Took to the Woods, and Rainy Days. This site is great for those days when you don’t necessarily want to put in the effort of searching for new songs. All you have to do is press play, listen, and relax.

Whether you need a new playlist for studying, running, or hanging around the house on a rainy day, these sites offer great songs that will undoubtedly put you in the fall spirit.
