Top 5 Creative Halloween Costumes for 2012

You’ve been the sexy nurse, cop, school girl, cat, and even sexy rabbit at some point in your Halloween timeline and now it’s time to step it up and start getting creative (or at least try to). If you’re still trying to figure out what to be this Halloween without being too generic, we have some costume ideas that will last you for the entire Halloween weekend. 

1. Honey Boo Boo

All you need to do is curl your hair, put on your best blinged out tutu and carry around your cutest stuffed pig. Honey Boo Boo has been all the rage on TLC this season. She may not be the classist little girl but she sure makes a statement at beauty pagents. Be sure to make the best southern accent and people will get the hint.

2. Katniss Everdean and Peeta Mellark

After the movie came out last Spring, The Hunger Games have been flying off the shelves. Who wouldn’t want to be Katniss, the beautiful strong willed heroine. Her look can be pulled off by braiding your hair into a side pony tail and wearing green cargo pants, brown leather jacket and a black T-shirt. If you really want to top of the outfit, you should get a bow and arrow if possible. If you want to match with a friend, you can get him or her to dress as Peeta, Katniss’s partner in crime. For Peeta, you should also wear a black shirt, green cargo pants, and a blonde wig if you have one. This is a great costume for a pair of best friends or even a boyfriend or girlfriend!

3. Highlighters

This costume is simple to make and can include up to five friends. Just wear matching bright leggings and bright tops. It’s that easy!

4. Streaker

This costume is very deceiving and will make people do a double take. Wear a trench coat and find a skin colored shirt or dress. Take black felt fabric and sew it onto were your privates would be. This costume will be the talk of the night!

5. Ryan Lochte

Who doesn’t remember this hot swimmer making a splash at this year’s London Olympics. Ryan Lochte is one of the greatest swimmers today (and one of the hottest). All you have to do to have this winner’s outfit is to find a speedo, a fake gold medal, googles, and wear some high top Nike shoes. Since Ryan loves fashion, he loves to wear flamboyant speedos and shoes to make a statement so don’t be afraid to do so! Bonus points if you can make an American flag grill for you teeth!
