Other than Google, Facebook, and Twitter (maybe Pinterest too), Wikipedia has become a cultural staple of our time! While not necessary acceptable for academic information by most professors, it would be hard to find someone who hasn’t used Wikipedia one way or another. Whether it be for a class, a project, to prove someone wrong in an arguement, or to play the “wikipedia” game, we’ve all been on Wikipedia and use it constantly.
Next week, Jimmy Wales, the co-founder of Wikipedia will be at campus to talk about his experience as the American Internet entrepreneur of one of pop culture’s most prominant websites.
