Rent the Runway: From the Streets of Milan to Your Doorstep

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, we’re all scrambling to find the perfect dress. Whether it’s a casual dress to wear while enjoying some pumpkin pie or a sequined dress for ringing in the new year, the right dress can make or break an occasion.  Good news, ladies: we can look stylish and sophisticated in high-end dresses without the high-end price, all thanks to Rent the Runway!

Rent the Runway is a website where you can rent dresses and accessories from top names, such as Vera Wang and Badgley Mischka, for a fraction of the cost.  Since the site is organized by occasion, it’s easy to find the perfect dress for that special wedding, date, party, or formal so that you can really stand out.  I know a dressing room is often a girl’s best friend, but through reviews, photos of real-life women, online chats with a style expert, and a second size provided completely free of charge, it’s nearly impossible not to look fabulous in the dress of your dreams.  Worried about dropping food or spilling drinks on your one-of-a-kind dress?  After your four to eight day rental period is over, simply put your dress in the pre-paid envelope provided by Rent the Runway and they will take care of the dry cleaning and pressing for you.

Rent the Runway has a nationwide campus rep program so make sure to get your free membership via www.renttherunway.com/ohiostate so you can start renting!  Also, make sure to check out OSU’s Rent the Runway team Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rent-the-Runway-at-The-Ohio-State-University/232919400058473?fref=ts to stay updated on future contests, promotions, and look books.

I’m so excited to wear this $720 Camilla and Marc dress (that only cost me $100 to rent) to an upcoming wedding!
