Among her friends (and those who like to creep her iTunes in Old Kenyon) it is well known that Hanna Strom-Weber knows good music. It’s Kenyon, so we all need those great pregame songs to pump us up and prepare us for what will most likely be a night that devolves into going to the Cove. Given the number of freshman that have knocked on Hanna’s door on a Friday/Saturday night, it’s clear that Hanna’s room sounds like it’s going on. Fortunately for us, she’s giving Her Campus some of her recommendations and divulging where we can find some awesome music.

What are your top five pregaming songs that you would recommend right now? What are you super into?

I really like “Float” (fratrat remix) by Pacific Air, “Call Your Girlfriend” (Kaskade Remix) by Robyn, “Alive” by Krewella, “Ride Like That” Ft. Jeremih by Travis Porter, and “Ball” Ft. Lil Wayne by T.I.

What are your top throw backs from our middle school dance era?

“Salt Shaker” by the Ying Yang Twins, “Get Low” by Lil’ Jon and the East Side Boyz, and “Lean Back” by the Terror Squad ft. Fat Joe

What one song embodies your freshman year, sophomore year, and junior year while you’ve been here at Kenyon?

Freshman year was “Like a G6” by the Far East Movement ft. Dev, sophomore it was Adrian Lux’s “Teenage Crime,” and junior year it was probably “Down on Me” by Jeremih ft. 50 Cent or something by Kaskade.

What got you interested in music?

I guess I really started getting into music when I got to Kenyon. Well I mean I always listened to music and senior year in high school I found a lot of websites for hip hop and rap music. Then when I went to Kenyon it was more like going out music so then I began to branch out.

If you could recommend one good music website which one would it be?

Probably GoodMusicAllDay, ThisSongIsSick, or FreshNewTracks.

What are your top three favorite songs ever?

Ever?

Ever.

“Hanging On” (Svyable + PRFFTT) by Ellie Goulding/anything by her, “Down on Me” Ft. 50 Cent by Jeremih, and “Buy My Love” (Fareoh Remix) by Wynter Gordon.

Who would make the best Kenyon DJ?

Obviously DJ Storm Weaver.
