Winter Treats at Starbucks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emerson chapter.

Hey collegiettes! You may have spotted the new, red, star-covered Starbucks cups around campus and you know what that means: festive flavors! This year, Starbucks went all-out with their Christmas menu, which is guaranteed to get you in a holly-jolly Christmas mood! Here are a few things I tried from the menu this week:

Peppermint Mocha:

Talk about the perfect balance between coffee and mint! It’s a combination of espresso, milk, bittersweet chocolate, and peppermint flavor, creating a decadent Christmas drink. It’s warm and minty and definitely wakes you up! Try this popular Starbucks drink topped off with whipped cream and chocolate curls if you have an especially sweet tooth.

Eggnog Latte:

If you love your nog, this is your drink! The eggnog latte is made of espresso with steamed eggnog and milk, and topped with ground nutmeg. It’s a treat that will bring back Christmas memories of family bonding with a mug of eggnog around the fire. This delicious drink will keep you feeling warm and fuzzy all season long!

Gingerbread Latte:

If I had to describe this yummy holiday drink, I’d call it “Christmas in a cup.” Try this latte if you’re not a fan of eggnog! Light the fire (okay, just turn up the thermostat), reunite with your favorite sweater, and sip on this lovely warm drink while you study for your finals.

Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop:

Need something to pair with your toasty drinks? You’re in luck! Starbucks just came out with a new flavor of cake pops, the peppermint brownie cake pop. It’s a chocolate cake mixed with butter cream and candy cane pieces, dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with some extra candy cane bits. So, delicious cake covered in delicious chocolate covered in delicious candy? Yes.
