In recent weeks, collegiettes from all over were smitten with a charming British chap at Exeter, eagerly anticipating the moment that he would be crowned the Hottest University Guy in the United Kingdom.
Relieved, collegiettes found their prayers answered as Matt Stephens from Exeter University earned the most votes and claimed the brilliant title of the Hottest University Guy in the UK.
We couldnāt wait to talk with Matt and get to know this Brit a little better so we had some one-on-one time and talked about his recent triumph. Read on for our exclusive interview with Americaās Hottest University Guy in the UK, Matt Stephens.
HC: How does it feel to be voted the “Hottest University Guy in the UK?”
MS: Canāt really believe it to be honest, quite a surprise. What a journey to national stardom it has beenā¦ Now I want to push on for the global Her Campus titleā¦.
HC: Do you consider yourself a ladies man and if so, how do you typically charm and woo the ladies?
MS: Confirmed, and there’s not really a great deal of charm about it. Right place, right time, right number of pints down the hatch.
HC: Do you plan to use ‘I was voted “The Hottest University Guy in the UK”ā as a pickup line?
MS: Already haveā¦

HC: When/how did you know that you had been nominated and what type of support did you have on campus?
MS: It first dawned on me when I had parades of girls around me on campus giving me āthe eyesā and giggling like schoolgirls. Support in Exeter was nonexistent, but I donāt think I really needed it to be honestā¦. the women of our fair land know a winner when they see it.
HC: What would be three words you’d use to describe yourself?
MS: Bloody Big Turnip
HC: If anyone could play you in a movie, who would you pick?
MS: Jonah Hill, hands down.
HC: What is your major/focus of study and what has been your favorite class to date at Exeter?
MS: My focus is Geography (Colouring in) and my favorite class has definitely been āMap reading for idiots.ā
HC: What are your guilty pleasures?
MS: Scented baths salts and One Direction
HC: Care to give a victory speech, or statement?
MS: Form an orderly queue ladiesā¦
