Like it or not, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. For those of you that are in relationships, you might be stressing out about what to give that special someone. A box of chocolates might be great, but it’s a little overdone. Why not try out one of these more unique gift ideas this year?
1. Recreate your first date. Even if you can’t go to the exact place where you first went out, this is a really cute way to remember why you fell for each other. Make the same meal, do the same activity, etc.
2. Make a CD and poem that makes you think of them. We’ve all got those songs that make us think of a certain someone, so why not make them into a CD. To make this cuter, try to make up a poem or story using the song titles. For example, “There are so many LITTLE THINGS I love about you. Your eyes are like STARS…” Obviously I’m not good at this, but you get the idea.
3. Create a collage of your time together. We all like taking pictures, so chances are you have plenty of pictures of you and your guy. Make a framed collage, scrapbook, etc. I know several girls who have taken this route and their boyfriends loved it. Sometimes, simplicity makes the best gift.
4. Food. It is often said, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Whereas a woman needs love, compassion, care, protection, a sense of humor, and the list keeps going, all a man really needs is food.
