It’s a touchy subject; one that often causes unease. It’s not openly talked about, especially amongst women. Some avoid it, some shy away from it, and some even lie about it, but O, it should be nothing else but embraced. Such a sweet affair shouldn’t be taboo. It is not wrong, nor is it disgraceful. It isn’t an act of desperation, and it is certainly not uncommon (even species such as squirrels and walruses enjoy it). Despite the differing views on the subject, the facts are there ladies. Far from being a guilty pleasure, it is one of the best investments you can make for your overall health and well-being. Now, turn on your state of open-mindedness, stimulate your inner explorer and you will come to discover the real perks of masturbation.

The Benefits

Stress Relief. Masturbation is proven to be a great relaxation agent. Engaging in sexual activity causes our bodies to release endorphins, which in turn give us a feeling of well-being. Giving us new perspective, we feel calmer and more relaxed.

Ease of menstrual cramps. Intense orgasms can help relieve painful menstruations. By increasing the blood flow in the pelvic region, masturbation is proven to ease menstrual cramps. Some studies also suggest that it can help build resistance to yeast infections.

Get better sleep. Masturbation can help remedy insomnia! By lowering your blood pressure and helping you relax, it is a gateway to beauty sleep.

Mood booster. Again, with the release of endorphins, masturbation encourages a blissful state  of mind. The intense pleasure can boost your mood and make you a happier go-getter.

Safe Sex. No need to worry about pregnancies or STI’s! Going solo is the cleanest, safest and most infallible way to satisfy your needs.

Get in touch with your sexuality. Masturbation allows you to get in touch with your sexuality. Through solo exploration, you can discover what it is that you really like. With all its nerves and hotspots, learn how your body can become a sexual goldmine. The possibilities are endless.

Achieve the big O. Masturbation has proven to help women reach intense orgasms during intercourse. Since it can take time for your body to respond to different positions and sensations, regular solo sessions will help you discover how to climax in different positions. Masturbation also allows you to find new hot spots that can help trigger and intensify orgasms.

Helpful Tips

Have the right mindset. It is important to be in the right mindset when going solo. You must first rid your mind of unnecessary thoughts, let go of all tension, and let yourself relax and enter a state of contentment. Once you’re comfortable, find what it is that makes you hot. From erotica novels and films, to your own naughty fantasies, let yourself be taken away.

Don’t hold back. Not everyone is comfortable getting frisky in the bedroom. As much as you may want to, it is not always easy to find the courage and confidence to get a little crazy. However, when there is no one but you, its time to let your wildest fantasies come true. Don’t be afraid to get creative! Once you’re comfortable doing it alone, you’ll be more comfortable taking it to the bedroom. And if you’re not comfortable still, there is nothing wrong with keeping it your dirty little secret.

Get by with a little help. What you can achieve alone is truly great. However, there are many aids out there that can get our sex lives from great to ah-mazing. For this, sex toys are a great investment. Whether you use them alone or with a partner, they are designed to give you sensations you may not be able to achieve alone. Don’t be shy to make a trip to a nearby sex shop. You’ll be pleased by what is available out there.

Take it to the bedroom. As much as solo sessions can work wonders, there is nothing like sharing the experience with a partner. However, as you may have previously experienced, great sex isn’t always available to us. Sometimes, the right dynamic isn’t quite there, and what is supposed to be euphoric falls nothing short from mediocre. Taking what you’ve discovered on your own and applying it in the bedroom can greatly enhance your experience, making it much more pleasurable. Don’t be afraid to show your partner how you like it. If it takes a step-by-step demo, don’t be shy to get it done. It even makes for great foreplay. Once the skills have been successfully transferred, your sex life will be forever transformed.

Ladies, it’s time to leave shame, unease and modesty behind us. Masturbation is not only great for your health and well-being, it is also extremely empowering. Getting in touch with your sexuality is great for confidence, and we all know there is nothing sexier. Don’t hold back, bring out your inner explorer, and as a favor to yourself, learn to delight in a little self-lovin’.
