Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Coleman Bandy. This Joplin, Mo., native is passionate about journalism. When he’s not working at KOMU, he likes hanging out with his Lambda Chi Alpha brothers. Read up on this spontaneous musician!

Hometown: Joplin, Mo.

Major: Broadcast Journalism- I do shifts at the (KOMU) station for my broadcast class.  Journalism is the reason I came to Mizzou, and I’m very passionate about it.

Relationship Status: Single

Hidden Talent: I’ve been playing guitar for about ten years.  Music is my passion, and I wouldn’t know what to do without it.

Dream Job: Freelance screenwriter for Hollywood. It’s a bit of a lofty goal, but I want to go to graduate school somewhere in California to master screenwriting.

Favorite Mizzou Memory: Storming the field after beating #1 Oklahoma my freshman year.

Favorite Quote: “I give you this to take with you: Nothing remains as it was.  If you know this, you can begin again with pure joy in the uprooting.” -Judith Minty

Last song played on iPod: San Francisco by Foxygen

Pet Peeve: The mass confusion that occurs at every 4-way stop.

One thing on my bucket list: Release a music album no matter how successful.

Perfect Date: Going out for some nice (Italian) food, then something random or spontaneous.  Any setting that promotes good conversation, whether it be driving around listening to music, going for ice cream, etc.  I like not having a set plan with a girl; the more random the better.
