Winter is full of exciting things– snow, hot cocoa, Valentine’s Day, cute scarves, and skiing trips. I could list hundreds of things to love about winter, but lets face it; winter also brings cold, harsh, weather that does not do justice to your skin. So here is a winter skin survival guide and the top 5 products I use to keep my skin smooth and hydrated!

1. Maybelline’s Baby Lips

A girl’s worst nightmare, or at least mine is definitely chapped lips. I mean come on, what guy wants to kiss a girl with cracked, flaky lips? With the cold, winter winds your lips are 10 times more prone to becoming chapped. So instead of licking your dry lips, keep them super smooth and kissable!

Maybelline’s Baby Lips is the product that I literally swear by. The best part about this product is that it not only cures your already chapped lips but it prevents them from becoming chapped again. Baby lips also comes in six fun flavors and colors- Quenched, Peppermint, Cherry Me, Grape Vine, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss!

2. Eucerin Intensive Repair – Very Dry Skin Lotion

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! I cannot say it enough. Seriously though, who wants rough, itchy, dry skin? Moisturizing your skin no matter your skin type is the most important step to maintaining smooth skin in the winter months. When it comes to keeping my skin glowing I rely on my bottle of Eucerin Intensive Repair – Very Dry Skin Lotion. I have sworn by this product for about five years now and it always repairs my dry skin no matter how bad it gets. Eucerin Intensive Repair has a smooth application and is not sticky like many dry skin products tend to be.

3. Julep Essential Cuticle Oil

This may be a shock to many, but your nails can also become dry and brittle, especially in the winter. No manicure, no matter how pretty the color is, looks good with broken nails. Remembering to wear your gloves when you go out into the cold can do wonders, but when that fails Julep Essential Cuticle Oil comes to your rescue. Packed with vitamin E this product helps to strengthen and repair your damaged nails.

4. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeeep Conditioner

The freezing winter winds promise to make your hair brittle and dry. Plus no one wants to face the cold with wet hair. So what do we do? We turn to our blow dryer which dries our hair out even more. Although it is best to avoid your blow dryer/all heated products during the winter, sometimes using them is inevitable. So when this is the case I turn to “3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner.” This 3 minute leave-in conditioner can be used daily, and it’s my go to for when my hair starts to become dry. After just a few uses my hair is seemingly softer, smoother and even shinier! I even use this miracle product during the summer months when the ocean dries out my hair.

5. Water, water and did I say water?

Finally, my last product is one that you can essentially find anywhere – water. People are always talking about how important water is for your skin and they are right! If you want glowing skin on the outside, you need to be hydrated on the inside first. So make sure you are drinking your recommended eight glasses a day!
