Jessica White has a knack for history. The Cato, N.Y. native is the current vice president for the History Club on campus. Her interest on the subject and wanting to get more involved on campus were the reasons for joining.
Jessica is currently a “super junior,” because she got a little behind after switching her minor to photography. Her major is history. In History Club, members talk about different subjects in history, as well as important current events. Sometimes the club has trivia night, movie nights and the occasional pizza party. History Club plans on going to Washington, D.C. this month.
“I am so glad that I did [joined History Club] because I’ve made so many new friends because of it,” Jessica says. “I never would have thought that I would want to be an officer in a club when I started at SUNY Oswego.”
In her free time, Jessica likes to hang out with her friends and she also tries to find ways to meet new people and get more involved on campus.
After graduation, Jessica isn’t sure what she’ll do. Maybe graduate school down the road. “I just want to find a decent job and see what life has in store for me.”
