The ever-popular Emi-Jay hair ties are all the rage right now. They are cute and do not leave a crease in your hair; however, they are not very cost effective. While in Hobby Lobby this past summer, I found the exact same material of the hair ties but at a fraction of the cost!

All you need is:

–       Satin elastic that is around 5/8” width (Hobby Lobby or Etsy)

–       Cut each strand into 12” strands

–       Put on a fun movie or TV show

–       Match up the ends and tie it in an overhand knot

–       Trim the ends

Voila! It is that simple and easy to make these! I made them watching TV over the summer. You can also make headbands out of the same material!
