It’s that time of year again. Papers are piling up and those readings you’ve been putting off all semester are now unavoidable. Days turn into nights at the library and it feels like there is no end in sight. When you do get through these assignments though, what are you doing to break? Here’s few shows and movies that will have you laughing through finals.

Boy Meets World: Everyone used to run home to watch this on Disney channel after school. Now with the remake, Girl Meets World, just around the corner, watch a couple of these quick episodes to give you a good laugh and a short break from studying. Plus, who couldn’t use an inspirational speech or two from Mr. Feeny?

How I Met Your Mother: Although this series is set to wrap up soon, everyone has their favorite episode. Whether it’s Slapsgiving or The Best Burger in New York, these quirky college friends will give you just the right amount of laugh and sarcasm to sweeten your study days. At the very least, Barney is sure to provide you with sound advice to live by.

10 Things I Hate About You: For those of you wanting to take a longer break, this classic 90’s movie will have you laughing, singing and smiling along with Heath Ledger. It provides the perfect escape to a high school favorite.

Greek: This short lived ABC Family Dramedy about college life and the Greek System is light, funny and packed with drama, which makes finals seem not so serious. Laugh at the bad engineering jokes with Dale and escape into an idyllic college campus with the sisters of ZBZ.

Friday Night Lights: There is no one else like Eric Taylor to give you just the motivation you need to get through finals. Plus, if you’re not laughing at Landry or rooting for Matt Saracen, you’re staring at Tim Riggins, which is a great escape no matter what time of year it is.

Although it would be pretty easy to get sucked in and watch episode after episode of these shows, try to limit yourself to one a night so that it really is just a treat and a break from all your hard work! One more week and you’ll have plenty of time to catch up on all of your favorite TV shows and movies this summer.
