Summer is right around the corner and it’s safe to say we’re all getting that hot weather fever. With those sunny rays basking on us it’s time to bring out the shorts, sundresses, and (soon enough) bikinis. Now we all may feel a little “not up to date” body-wise after all those cold months being indoors. The word “exercise” could make anyone cringe. Have no fear though! Exercising to improve what you already have doesn’t require hours upon hours of endless sweat. Little exercises in consistent intervals can all add up in due time for the summer. So girls, grab a t-shirt, shorts, and some sneakers; put on your favorite playlist; and get ready to try out these exercises that will have you rocking all of your assets.

Abdominals

Crunches :

So you want that extra flat tummy to show off? Crunches are the beginning of gaining just that. Now for beginners start off doing fifteen crunches each interval you exercise. For example, if you do three intervals you’ll be doing forty-five crunches. As you continue to exercise you can increase the number of crunches you want to do. Also, a yoga mat could be used to provide more comfort in this position that requires you on your back.

Arms

Biceps Curl :

Ever wonder how to get those toned arms? Well it can be simpler than you think. With this exercise, all you need is a pair of dumbbells that are five to eight pounds. Basically all you have to do is have the dumbbells at your sides and keep your back and chest straight. Now don’t move your upper arms as you bend your elbows and curl the weights to your shoulders. Then slowly bring them back down to your sides. Easy enough! Continue these in intervals just like the crunches, and let that burn start kicking in!

Legs

Bridge :

Place yourself on that yoga mat again. This is another exercise that you’ll need some comfort for, especially since your legs are the main focus. This is called the bridge, and that is exactly what it looks like. Lay on the floor of your yoga mat with your knees bent and palms flat on the floor. Then raise your hips so that your body makes a straight line from shoulders to knees. Keep this position for about two seconds and then bring it back down. You’ll continue this and start to feel the strength in your legs grow over time. Legs that are toned are super sexy.

Butt

Squats :

A perky butt is definitely a must have asset especially when it comes to those bikinis for the summer. Squats are a major help and definitely a little exercise that shows incredible outcomes. Not only do they tone your behind, but they lift it, in the process giving you that oh-so-perky behind. With squats, you can always change it up by adding different challenges, including dumbbells. To start off a basic squat, go into a standing position with your body straight. Inhale first and bend your knees and hips all the way into a squatting position (like in the picture above). Keep your head straight, heels flat, and that back arched. Then, when rising back into the first position, exhale.

These are all simple exercises that can always be versatile by just challenging yourself. They get the job done and will show amazing results as long as you stay consistent and determined. All you have to do is believe in yourself, girl. Plus an awesome playlist can keep you going strong. Don’t forget to treat yourself too with a super cute outfit or bikini once the results start kicking in! Hard work always pays off.
