Broadway quality without the Broadway ticket price.

Sounds too good to be true?

Well, it’s not.

New Jersey’s premiere Paper Mill Playhouse just finished its run of the dazzling musical Thoroughly Modern Millie.  Featuring seasoned Broadway vets Laurie Veldheer (Newsies), Brenda Braxton (Chicago, Smokey Joe’s Café, Cats, Dreamgirls), Jeff Kready (Billy Elliot, Sunday in the Park…, Les Misérables), and Burke Moses (Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, Kiss Me, Kate); Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of a young Kansas farm-girl, Millie Dillmount, who arrives in flapper-filled New York City in 1922 with the dream of marrying rich – at any cost.  The sparkling show’s incredible set design and gorgeous period costumes enhance the visual spectacle and highest quality production.

The theatre is accessible from New York City and walking distance from the Millburn stop on NJ Transit.  The Paper Mill features many shows out-of-town Broadway previews and several galas by some of the Great White Way’s biggest names.

The final show for this season is Disney’s The Little Mermaid, running from May 29 through June 30.  Tickets are available here.

Next season starts with the world-premiere of the musical Honeymoon in Vegas in Broadway previews starring television star Tony Danza, and running from September 26 through October 27.  The season follows up with some musical theatre classics such as Oliver!, South Pacific, and Grease, as well as the new original musical The Other Josh Cohen.

Tickets and the full 2013-2014 season are available here.
