There’s nothing like stepping back onto the 40 acres and seeing the tower lit up in that burnt orange glow. While we could list thousands of reasons why it is great to be a Longhorn, we carefully narrowed it down to the top 10.
1. Football Season
It’s any time of any day, and OU STILL sucks.
2. Albino Squirrel
Helping students pass tests since…forever.
3. Famous Alum
Matthew McConaughey. Need we say more?
4. Sixth Street
What starts here, is forgotten tomorrow.
5.Tiff’s Treats, Kerbey Lane, Food trucks, Pluckers, etc.
It’s amazing that we don’t call it the Freshman 30 instead the Freshman 15.
6. We have our own TV network
Our athletes play well, and look even better, so they gave us our own channel.
7. We had a movie made about us
Because we have the happiest of faces.
8. We’re not A&M
A-G-G-I-E, what’s that spell? What’s that SMELL? (A cheer as famed by Cedric the Entertainer)
9. The tower is our view
You can always see it. It can always see you. The eyes of Texas are upon you.
10. Our school spirit can’t be matched
Texas! Fight!
