Bedsider In the Wild: Making Birth Control Fun and Easy at Pitt!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

Do you find taking birth control tedious or just annoying?  It’s time to make your sexual health easy and fun!  This fall, Bedsider is launching the In the Wild program on college campuses all over the country.  Bedsider, a company that is not funded by pharmaceutical companies or the government, believes that women in college and beyond should have the right to a healthy, happy sex life without having to worry about unplanned pregnancy. For that to happen, women need to take an active role in their own reproductive health. Bedsider.org is a useful resource for women–and men–to increase their knowledge about birth control options, while putting the sex back into birth control!

What better way to become more involved in your sexual health than to have fun at the same time?!  Stopping at numerous college campuses worldwide, In the Wild will include parties, lectures, pub-crawls, movie nights, and info booths—all designed to help students stay on top of their sex life while enjoying themselves!

Hoping that In the Wild will stop by your campus? Bedsider is looking for volunteer Campus Reps to host In the Wild events and entertain, engage, and inform college students about birth control.  Becoming a Campus Rep will allow you to gain valuable work experience and impact the public health field by generating awareness, starting conversations, and helping college women and men learn about birth control options.  What looks better than that?

If you’re feeling wild, apply here by Sunday September 22, 2013.

Good luck and remember, stay healthy and have fun!  For more information on Bedsider and In the Wild, check out this video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkeRyKhNm74
