To add variety to our Campus Style Blog, HC Bloomsburg wants to highlight some of our own favorite fashion and style blogs that are worth following, especially this time of year!
Rhode Islander Sarah Vickers’ blog Classy Girls Wear Pearls is a personal favorite, especially for the fall weather! While she and her boyfriend Kiel James Patrick own their own clothing and accessories store KJP, they spend much of their time exploring their local landscape and adventuring with all their super trendy friends. Her warm sweaters, gorgeous boots, sparkly jewelry and fall-themed posts will make you wish the leaves were changing already!
San Franciscan Julia Engle knows how to bundle up! The constantly changing weather in her neighborhood makes her blog Gal Meets Glam filled with fun layering ideas and ways to beat the crazy weather! Her girly and delicate style is adorable and her insights into home decorating, how to shop a sale, and the best shades of lipgloss are so fun and fascinating. This is a must-read for any collegiette!
So, most of you know Leandra Medine as the Man Repeller but she certainly doesn’t repel collegiettes! Native New Yorker, Medine has some of the coolest street style you’ll ever see. Sitting front row at many of the New York Fashion Week shows, she offers hilariously witty commentary on everything she witnessed throughout the week and chances are, you’ll probably see her feature some of the avant guarde fashions on her “What I Wore” section. Plus, check out her new book, Man Repeller, in stores now.
Because who is more fabulous than designer Tory Burch? The Tory Blog is a beautiful combination of entertaining tips, trend reports from the brand, Tory’s playlists, and travel and culture pieces. Seriously, go check it out. Currently on the blog is a feature on Tory’s first ever fragrance and what inspired her to create the scent. Also available are City Guides in which Tory picks out her favorite places to eat, sleep, and shop in the area. And as Tory herself went to the University of Pennsylvania, you can bet her guide to Philadelphia is amazingly chic!
Vogue Daily: 5 Days, 5 Looks, 1 Girl
Okay, so while Vogue‘s 5 Days, 5 Looks, 1 Girl series isn’t exactly a blog, it’s still just as awesome! Vogue selects one amazingly fashionable employee (but who works at Vogue and isn’t fashionable?!) to shadow and document her outfits for the work week! The most recent feature is what Vogue.com Market Editor Chelsea Zalopony wore to the office during Fashion Week. While we might not be able to afford to wear their clothes, the inspiration of seeing high fashion in everyday life can add limitless ideas to our wardrobe with pieces we can find at a price we can swing.Â
