Collegiates, meet Rajhon White! Rajhon is a sophomore at Montclair State University. He is an Organizational Communication major. Deciding on this major was not the easiest for Rajhon; all he knew is that he wanted to work with people. Through research, Rajhon realized that Organizational Communication was the best choice for him. “When I came across Organizational Communication and what jobs I could get I knew that it was perfect for me”. When asked what he wanted to do with his degree, Rajhon told HC Montclair a few things, “When I get older I would love to be the director of diversity at a school or corporation. Diversity is something that I have devoted my time to promoting and learning to understand. I feel as though it is an emerging necessity in our society. At some point in time, I also want to open my own restaurant where I could bring the creation that I make in my kitchen to the world”. Rajhon has many goals and he has a plan to achieve his goals, “I will accomplish these goals by working hard to obtain the highest degree in my field. I also plan to network until the day I die. Networking is a huge player in today’s society”. Needless to say, Rajhon has an exciting future ahead of him!

Rajhon also keeps himself busy while he is on campus. He has a few jobs and is very active in clubs. He works as a Community Assistant on campus and as and as an ambassador for the office of undergraduate admissions. He is the Treasurer of the programming board of the Student Government Association, also known as Student Life at Montclair. Basically, he helps plan all the fun events on campus. Rajhon is also the Secretary of Student Affairs. Rajhon says, “On campus, I’m known for being very involved. I try to take advantage of every opportunity that Montclair offers to its students. Whether it is by getting involved or just showing other organizations support at their events. I also like to get people involved”.

Rajhon says that he could not do anything that he does without his Mom. “My biggest supporter has always been my mom. Since birth she has made a way for me to do anything that I have ever put my mind to. She is the reason behind all of my success and has been an integral part in my life. I hope that one day I can repay her for all of the time, patience, and love that she has instilled in my life”.
