Fifty Shades of Grey: Movie Cast

Sex. Passion. Lust. Love. Fifty Shades of Grey, is making its scandalous readers now even happier by heading to the big screen. There has been endless hype about which celebs the director was going to pick to play the intense roles of main characters and promiscuous lovers, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. The book, being known for the intense character chemistry and explicit sex scenes, gives the film extremely high expectations. For months rumors flew about who would play the sexy, billionaire role of Christian Grey in the film.

Fans did their best to guess who would play the legendary role, popular suspects were Robert Pattinson and Christian Bale, but the directors threw the fans a curve ball when they selected Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson for the lead roles. I’d say it’s either a hit or a miss for the two leads. “Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam has accepted the role of Christian Grey and has a lot to live up to. Fans will certainly have high expectations of him while he plays the rich, sexy and intriguing character. Hunnam does have a knack for the “bad boy” role, for those of you “Sons of Anarchy” fans who already know, so he should be able to nail the part. Dakota Johnson is playing the submissive, quirky and naive role of Ana who falls into Christian Grey’s spidery web.

It will be interesting to see the die-hard Grey fans’ reactions to the on-screen version of this intense story of love and lust. According to the Daily News, Hannam claims an undeniable chemistry with Dakota Johnson and he is experienced in the on-screen sex scenes.

For those of you who live under a rock and missed all the talk about the novel, Fifty Shades of Grey became the fastest selling book series in history! For those of you who didn’t read it [and should ASAP] the sexual content is… well let’s just say extremely descriptive.  As if Rihanna inspired it, the trilogy definitely has its share of ‘S&M’. This has fans wondering, “how much sex is too much sex?” Will the movie soften the explicit scenes? How will readers and fans react to the on screen content in public? Unfortunately, we won’t know until next year when the much-anticipated film is released on August 1, 2014.
