6 Fashion Books We Can’t Wait to Read

We already know that they have style–but who knew that some of our favorite designers, stylists, and style icons have a way with words as well? Here are just a few new fashion books that we can’t wait to get our hands on.

1. The Asylum : A Collage of Couture
 Reminiscences…and Hysteria by Simon Doonan

Released earlier this month, this collection of autobiographical essays from the creative ambassador of Barneys New York tells real-life stories about the madness and the insanity of the high-end fashion world.

2. Just Me by Roberto Cavalli

Just released, this book shares intimate details of the Italian fashion designer’s life, from childhood memories of Florence, to living through WWII, to climbing the ranks in the fashion world. As the designer said in his blog, “This book comes from my desire to tell, to share my life and the personal details of my great adventure with you.”

3. It by Alexa Chung

Set to by released in the U.S. on October 29, the fashion icon’s debut novel includes a unique collection of her personal writings, drawings, and photographs, covering everything from candid thoughts on life, love, music, and (of course) fashion.

4. Living in Style: Inspiration and Advice for Everyday Glamour by Rachel Zoe

Though we will have to wait until March 25 of next year to buy it, the stylist’s second novel will be filled with never-before-seen personal photos of her fashion and beauty icons, as well as contributions from her inspirational friends and mentors on home décor, entertaining, and travel.

5. In My Shoes: A Memoir by Tamara Mellon

Set to be released October 1, the novel will document the businesswoman’s journey to becoming the founder of the world-famous shoe brand Jimmy Choo and one of the fashion industry’s most successful entrepreneurs.

6. The Vogue Factor: The Inside Story of Fashion’s Most Illustrious Magazine by Kirstie Clements

Recently released, this tell-all book from the former Vogue editor exposes the cutthroat culture of the world’s most prominent fashion masthead.
