A few days ago, our HerCampus ISU Team excitedly got to open our first ever Back-To-School Survival Kit courtesy of the lovely ladies at HerCampus Nationals! The boxes were full of goodies from our friends at Neuro Energy Drink, Poppin, Chipotle, Luna Protien Bars, and SK Energy Shots.
1. One of the first things in our Surivival Kit was FOUR cases of Neuro Sonic Energy drink. When we say four, we literally mean four HUGE cases of this stuff. I personally had never heard of Neuro Sonic before but after seeing the awesome packaging and reading up on it’s benefits, I was stoked to try it. Now, I am not a huge fan of energy drinks, even during finals I am hesitant to buy them. They always make me jittery and feel wired and than once they wear off im left feeling tired and groggy. So I was pleasently surprised when though I could feel a definite alertness and focus after drinking my first Neuro, I never felt the downing effects of it. I will be handing out Neuro Sonics to all of our writers at our next meeting this Sunday and can’t wait for them all to try them!
2. Whether you have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, a meal at Chipotle can always make someone’s day. Our HerCampus writers and I are all equally obsessed with Chipotle so when our Buy One Get One Free Chipotle card came in our Surivival Kit, we were ecstatic. I will be giving this card out to one lucky writer at our meeting next week so they can get Chipotle on HerCampus ISU!
3. After seeing the adorable makeover Poppin gave to the HerCampus National Headquarters, I was super excited to see that we got some Poppin supplies of our own! For those of you who don’t know, Poppin makes adorable office, dorm, and home supplies. We were lucky enough to recieve some of their notebooks and pens. The best part? The orange and purple pens we got are JUST like the gel pens we totally used to use when we were kids. It’s like re-living your childhood glory days every time you write with them. Except this time you taking notes in your COM 329 class rather than coloring in a Lisa Frank coloring book.
4. Now, as I said before, I am not a fan of energy drinks. To me, they taste like medicine and always leave me feeling jittery. But with that being said, I am not a super human, so on long study nights I do find myself in deserpate need of a energy pick-me-up, and SK Energy Shots are the perfect thing for that. They have a great berry taste that you can take down quickly and don’t have to sip on for hours on end. Take one of these suckers before pulling a late night at Milner, and you’re good to go.
5. One of the last group of goodies we got in our package was a boatload of Luna Protien Bars in S’mores flavor. Being constantly on the go, I am always looking for a yummy protien bar that I can grab on my way out the door and eat on my walk to class. I have tried Luna Bars befor but never in the S’mores flavor and I was definitly missing out. These bars are delicious and unlike something like a Pop-Tart or bagel, they actually fill you up. I can’t wait to give some of these to my team at our next meeting for them to try out!
6. Last but not least, to top off our awesome Surivival Kit, HerCampus Nationals has given us a ton of HC swag to properly represent HerCampus all around ISU. We got some awesome HC sunglasses (perfect for tailgaing!), a HerCampus “Have Fun Stay Young” drawstring bag, a HerCampus.com car/laptop sticker, and of course, a Procrastinating Audrey sticker.
