If you’ve been using Vine you might have seen people gain followers overnight and within a few days to a week get Vine Verified or Vine famous. Here are some tips on how you can gain followers and try to get yourself up to that level!

1.      Use hashtags / trending hashtags.

A lot of viners look at hashtags to see other vines like theirs or to get ideas from others. Some just look to get a laugh. Tags are an excellent search feature, as well.

2.      Add the video to a channel.

If all of your vines are about ‘nature’, ‘dogs’ or ‘comedy’, you should add them to those channels. The more you add to the channel, the more people will look at your vines and want to see more by you.

3.      Remake popular vines and tag the trend creator.

If you’re lucky, the creator of that trend will Revine your remake and it will help you get followers!

4.      Help other Viners get followers.

If you’re following people that want more followers or have a goal set on their profile, make a shout-out to them! Tag them in it, you’ll most likely get Revined by that person and have an 80% chance of getting a shout-out by them so you’ll get some of their followers!

5.      Vine daily.

This is important because if you don’t keep a steady pace going you might lose followers. It’s like Youtube, some people do a weekly video, except Vine is 6 seconds. You want your followers to know that you’re still there!

6.      Participate in Vine contests.

If you go along with a contest, you’re putting yourself out there to get more followers! You might not win, but the Viners that established the contest will look at your vines, possibly give you tips for next time and encourage you to do the next contest! The more contests you do the more likely you’ll be Revined and given a shout-out!

7.      Establish a Vine family; talk to Viners through the comments section or direct message them on Twitter.

Not everyone does this but the best part about a Vine family is being able to talk to them about anything. Usually Vine families start by comments on Vines and then grow into ooVoo video chats or Kik group chats! Making friends is a part of any social media and it’s highly recommended on Vine, because they will support you in anyway possible. They will also help you gain followers when you need them!

8.      Be creative – use props!

This is your time to show everyone some crazy goofy things! Ex: If you have a light saber and Harry Potter glasses you can make a ‘nerd’ vine.

9.      Use your talents, whether it’s stupid or not.

If you’re good at putting on makeup, make a tutorial. If you’re extremely good at the drums or guitar you can use ‘assistive touch’ on your iPhone or Android to show your musical skills. You can show any talent you have on Vine!

10.  Be yourself!

Express yourself. There’s no need to pretend to be anyone you’re not. The more real you are, the more people can relate to you and will want to see you on Vine and be a part of your world.
