As Georgetown consistently ranks as one of the preppiest colleges in the nation, it is not surprising to see a monogram or two as you walk around campus.  Admittedly, I abuse the Etsy website by ordering every monogrammed item possible.  If you’re not looking to go as overboard as I have with monograms, here are the best items that can be easily spruced up with your initials:
1. A pillow
Now that you’re in college and sharing a room, you’ll want something on “your side” of the room to make it known that it is truly yours!  Thanks to Etsy, I decorated my bed with a navy chevron pillow with my monogram stitched in orange.
2. Signet Ring
It has become a tradition in my family to receive a signet ring on your 16th birthday. Â The small gold or silver ring is something beautiful that can be worn for the rest of your life and possibly even passed down to future generations!
3. Book Bag
A monogrammed book bag is something you will definitely see on the Georgetown campus. Â Whether it is a large canvas tote or a smaller leather purse, a monogrammed bag is the perfect way to lug your books to class in style!
4. Water bottle
I cannot go anywhere without my Nalgene water bottle, so adding my monogram to it was the perfect way to make sure I could easily find it and distinguish it from those of my roommates!
