So for all you F&M Dips out there (and some others) it’s fall break, which should mean a time of relaxing, hopefully at home. Here are just five reasons why it’s great to be home, even for a short amount of time!

1. Home-Cooked Food (or just amazing local takeout and/or eating in). Can I just say that the food at most dining halls generally suck? Nothing beats a home-cooked meal.

2. Sleep in a regular bed! I think we all forget how big our beds at home seem compared to those lovely twin extra long beds at school.

3. Catching up with friends at home. So some of your friends from home have the same break as you. This makes it a great time to go say hi.

4. You get to spend time with your family that loves you so much. You can’t say you don’t miss having your family treat you like royalty when you come home.

5. It’s not school…which means that you have a break from homework, drama, stress, and most importantly, those lovely drunk people outside your door at 2 a.m. (or is that just me?)

Along with being the Her Campus Franklin and Marshall Campus Correspondent, I am also the editor-in-chief of Epilogue, F&M's literary Magazine, Staff Writer for The College Reporter, F&M's student newspaper, and a very active member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. When not hard at work, you can find me writing, reading, geeking out over Disney movies with my friends, or doing art projects.
