Lauren Conrad confirmed that she is engaged to her boyfriend, William Tell, on her blog yesterday.


The reality star turned fashionista and author announced, “I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled!” Lauren also posted a photo of her ring, a solitaire diamond on a simple gold band.

Fans should expect a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion designer’s big day. “Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process,” she added to her blog announcement yesterday. 

William Tell, a USC law student, and Lauren have been dating for about two years. Ironically, Lauren got engaged on the same weekend that her ex, Jason Wahler, got married.


Fans and friends have reportedly been very supportive of the couple’s decision. “Everyone is so happy for her. He’s such a great guy. They are perfect for each other!” a source told PEOPLE on Sunday.

She later updated her blog post, adding “William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes. Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment :-) XO Lauren.”
