What made you choose Yale?
The people. When I came on my visit everyone I met was very friendly and enthusiastic about the school and their activities. I also really liked the team camaraderie and style of play.
What’s your biggest personal accomplishment on the Yale soccer team so far?
My freshman season I was lucky enough to win Ivy League Rookie of the Year. It was an honor to be recognized by the league, especially considering all the talented players that were recruited in my year.
What’s the biggest challenge your team has had to overcome?
The biggest challenge for us has definitely been our injuries.  We suffered a few majors ones from big contributors early into our season which is always difficult. Luckily enough, everyone has worked hard to be at the top of their game and we’ve had a lot of people stepping up and making big contributions.
What’s your goal as a team for this season?
Winning the Ivy League title is always the ultimate goal. Every team in our league is pretty evenly matched so it would be awesome to come out on top.
Who has been your inspiration?
Colleen McCormack. She’s got it all figured out.
What’s your funniest memory with your team?
Every year for Halloween our team splits up into our classes and competes for the best group costume. It’s generally not supposed to be anything flattering and we secretly plan it out months in advance. My freshman year we were Oompa Loompas and went all out. We had orange face paint, green hair and everything. We looked and acted ridiculous and everyone was pretty scared/annoyed with us by the end of the night. We had a great time though.
Aside from soccer and school, how do you spend your free time?
We don’t really have much free time right now because we’re in season but when we do I work in the athletic department as an office assistant making spreadsheets and cutting clips for game film.  I also hang out a lot with the girls on the team.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My bed. I actually never leave.
Is there anything you haven’t done yet at Yale that you want to do?
Sigma Nu-de.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I used to have six toes on both my feet. I got them removed when I was really young but I still have some pretty weird scars.
